Butterfly Beltway Routed to Pathfinder Headquarters

Pathfinder Engineers & Architects is a new corporate sponsor of the Seneca Park Zoo's Butterfly Beltway project, and is now home to a new butterfly garden planted Summer 2010.

The Butterfly Beltway Project has been aiding butterfly conservation since 2002. The Pathfinder butterfly garden includes the planting of plants specific to the native species of butterflies, a sign that proudly state participation in this important conservation effort, an engaging and interactive presentation of the Monarch life cycle and migration and a Monarch release. Follow-up visits include a garden check up, educational component and another butterfly release.

"This provides Pathfinder with a unique opportunity to make a lasting connection to the Zoo," explains Alex Strasenburgh, an Associate of the firm. "This garden is just one more way of demonstrating our firm's environmental efforts, which also includes using non-toxic methods for weed control and fertilization of our property."
